🎯 Redesigning AxCrypt for Cross-Platform Usability

To modernize AxCrypt’s interface, the goal was to create a consistent experience across desktop and mobile using .NET MAUI. We aimed to improve usability and accessibility for a wide user base while refining critical workflows like onboarding, file encryption/decryption, and management. Ultimately, the redesign was intended to drive better retention, engagement, and premium conversions.

💪Design Challenges

The main challenge was translating complex security functions into a clean, intuitive interface. We needed to ensure visual and functional consistency across a wide range of devices, while supporting the engineering team’s migration to MAUI. It was also crucial to balance technical limitations with user expectations.

👩‍💻My Contribution

I led the complete UI/UX overhaul—from mapping user flows to building high-fidelity prototypes. Through usability tests and interviews with over 50 users, I uncovered pain points and validated design choices. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to align design with business goals, and developed a responsive design system to ensure consistency and speed up development.
